Contact Information

Respecting government guidance around non-essential contact,
the Archbishops of York and Canterbury have issued advice
that all public worship is suspended until further notice

‘How can we sing the Lord’s Song in a strange land?’    Psalm 137

Our doors may be closed but we are very much open for business
as we become church in a different way during these unprecedented times

If you are isolated and need non-contact help with shopping or medication collection

       The Archbishops write –

‘Being a part of the Church of England is going to look very different in the days ahead.  Our life is going to be
characterised less by attendance at church on Sunday, and more by the prayer and service we offer each day.
We may not be able to pray with people in the ways that we are used to, but we can certainly pray for people.
And we can certainly offer practical (non-contact) care and support.

Then by our service, and by our love, Jesus Christ will be made known, and the hope of the gospel  – a hope
that can counter fear and isolation – will spread across our land.’

We are urged to become a different sort of church in these coming months: hopeful and rooted in
offering prayer and praise, and over-flowing in service to the world.

Keep us, good Lord,
under the shadow of your mercy.
Sustain and support the anxious,
be with those who care for the sick,
and lift up all who are brought low;
that we may find comfort
knowing that nothing can separate us from your love
in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Amen
